PARKING is – by far – easiest at the Sutter/Stockton Garage ($2-3/hr), which is one block away. Please do not look for street parking as it is next to impossible. Save yourself the stress and park at the Sutter/Stockton garage.
Your first visit will last up to 1.5 hours and will cover your current health issue, history and goals.
Treatment will include acupuncture and other such as cupping and massage.
Herbal medicine may be prescribed at this first appointment, but I generally wait to see the effect of the acupuncture before starting a herbal therapy.

New to Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a safe, effective, and gentle therapy. We use only the highest quality single-use, disposable needles.
These are not the kind of needles you are used to in your doctors office. They are extremely thin and cause little discomfort when inserted in the skin. Everyone is different, of course, and some are more sensitive than others.
Most people enjoy acupuncture treatments and many come in for the soothing and relaxing effect. Oftentimes clients will even nap while the needles do their trick.
Depending on your treatment plan you will be in the office anywhere from 45-80min.
Acupuncture + Massage – 90 minutes.All times are approximate.
Frequency of Visits
While some conditions can be treated efficiently with one or two appointments, many conditions will require a longer treatment plan.
Acupuncture can be very effective at almost instantly relieving pain and instructing your body to make adjustments.
This change generally requires frequent reminders to get take hold and last.
After a couple of days, your body’s memory of its previous state (before treatment) may be stronger than the new information we have provided through acupuncture treatment. It’s best to reestablish the new message while your body is still benefitting from the previous treatment. In this way, we are retraining your body’s homeostatic function.
In my practice, I encourage clients to come in for acupuncture twice per week at the beginning so that we can affect change quickly.
With this in mind, I have designed Frequent Visits that require little or no initial intake, but get you in and out within 45 minutes at a significantly reduced fee so that you can take advantage of what acupuncture can offer and get on with your day with little interruption.
